Can I use the ROT-deduction?
Yes absolutely!

Can I put hot pots and oven plates on my stone countertop?
Granite and marble are heat resistant, but despite this we recommend that you always use undercoats as a stone countertop can be damaged due to rapid heat changes. If you choose a countertop in ceramics, you do not need any undercoats as it can withstand heat up to 1000 degrees.

Can I cut on a stone countertop or should I use a cutting board?
If you have chosen a granite, ceramic or composite countertop, you can do it. Ceramics and granite are hard enough to handle even the sharpest knives. However, if you're afraid for your knives, we recommend using a cutting board as your knives will quickly become dull if you cut directly onto your countertop.

Marble countertops are not as resistant to scratches, so please use a cutting board at all times.
